Job Summary
STANA seeks a detail-oriented and proactive Patient Communications Coordinator to join our team immediately. This role primarily involves monitoring and responding to emails and patient inquiries. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a patient-centric approach, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. This position offers potential room for growth, depending on available funding.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to emails and patient inquiries received via STANA’s Contact Us page.
- Provide accurate information and support to patients regarding their concerns and questions.
- Maintain and organize all email correspondence to ensure timely follow-up.
- Coordinate with STANA Board members to address patient needs effectively
- Collaborate with STANA Board members to draft email responses on behalf of STANA on various inquiries.
- Keep accurate records of patient interactions and email inquiries.
- Assist with other communication and administrative tasks, as needed.
Position Type: Part-time, up to 20 hours per month (approximately 4.5 hours per week).
Hourly Rate: $18 per hour
Location: Fully Remote
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience working with patients, expertise in customer service, or skills in office administration are a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable using other digital communication tools.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Customer service-oriented with a patient-centric approach.
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience with email management
- Knowledge of nonprofit administration
- Lived experience with smell/taste dysfunction
- Familiarity with chemosensory-related research, conditions, or topics
Additional Information
- STANA seeks to engage the Patient Communications Coordinator for 20 hours of work per month. STANA estimates the role requires approximately 4.5 hours per week.
- The selected candidate will begin immediately upon hire.
- The role has the potential for growth depending on funding and performance.
- This role is a contract-funded position*. The contract period ends June 30, 2025. Continuation is contingent on available funding.
